Lead guide Wesley, called today from his sat phone, to deliver the good news that the group arrived perfectly well to base camp Plaza Argentina (13800 ft).
They will enjoy an excellent dinner tonight, made by our chef and base camp manager Susy -a guide and climber herself-. Tomorrow will be a rest day for them. Then begins the process of carrying loads to altitude, which is good to acclimatize and to go light in the final push. I am attaching a picture of Plaza Argentina from a previous expedition.
